Francine DeNiro Pritt

  Licensed Professional Counselor

I have been working in the counseling field for nearly 20 years, educated and trained to work with

individual, families, couples, and groups.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in two states; PA and TX, National Certified Counselor (NCC) meeting national standards, Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), active member with: American Counseling Association (ACA), National Board of Certified Counselors(NBCC) and EMDRIA

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy

International Association . I am currently a coach in training with EMDR Consulting group to teach therapists/counselors in the Pittsburgh and surrounding area.

My Bachelors Degree was awarded from

The State University of NY @ Buffalo.

I began my Graduate degree studies, Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology, at Saint Martin's College WA, and completed it through

 Chatham University, PA.

My counseling style will focus on your thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and sensations, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and  EMDR.

Both techniques are considered the Gold standard in counseling.

I also use various therapy styles that have been proven to be effective.

I believe in empowering my clients and their loved ones to reduce the stigma of counseling/mental health and benefits of medication (if needed).

Counseling should be viewed like any other service in the healthcare field.

I've received positive feedback from past clients:

"It is nothing like I expected it would be", "I feel relaxed here", "I don't feel judged", "Each time I leave a session I feel better ",

 "I am not ashamed anymore",

"I have learned I am more powerful then I realized

For over 20 years I have been married to a US Service Member (now retired), and a mother of two. I have been fortunate to live, work, and travel throughout the United States and various countries. From these encounters, along with my education and continuous education in the field, I am able to view the uniqueness of your situation beyond a diagnosis
